چکیده

Atrial fibrillation (AF) is characterized by complex and irregular propagation patterns. Noninvasive electrocardiographic imaging (ECGI) has been tested during AF conditions with promising results. However, current regularization methods face important challenges in this type of unstable electrical activity scenarios. Combination intracardiac non-invasive simultaneous recordings could improve ECGI performance allow real-time global mapping In work, we propose an method that incorporates measurements as a constraint reformulation the classical Tikhonov method. We used realistic mathematical models atria torso simulates wide number epicardial Body surface potentials were obtained from simulated electrograms (EGMs) using Boundary Element Method corrupted Gaussian noise. Epicardial estimated inverse problem regularization, including intracavitary information second constraint. Results showed first-order Constrained formulation provided more reliable reconstructions than approach at least 32 uniformly distributed endocardial EGMs (CC between 0.87 0.28, depending on complexity). accurate spatial mass functions (SMF) PS locations (CCSMF 0.24 0.86). This methodology was real patient data, obtaining mean DF RMSE 0.85 Hz, outperforming approach. Limitations study include fact model considered endocardium epicardium single layer. Further research will endocardium–epicardium bilayer approximations validation data.

Intracardiac Echocardiography during Catheter-Based Ablation of Atrial Fibrillation

Accurate delineation of the variable left atrial anatomy is of utmost importance during anatomically based ablation procedures for atrial fibrillation targeting the pulmonary veins and possibly other structures of the atria. Intracardiac echocardiography allows real-time visualisation of the left atrium and adjacent structures and thus facilitates precise guidance of catheter-based ablation of ...

Electrocardiographic evidence of ventricular repolarization remodelling during atrial fibrillation.

AIMS Some atrial fibrillation (AF) patients develop excessive QTc prolongation and torsade de pointes when they take QTc-prolonging antiarrhythmic drugs (class IA/III) immediately after termination of AF. We hypothesized that this is caused by changes in ventricular repolarization during AF. We aimed to establish whether such 'ventricular repolarization remodelling' occurs. METHODS AND RESULT...

3D Intracardiac Echocardiography/CartoSound™ Imaging of Esophagus Guided Left Atrial Posterior Wall Ablation for Atrial Fibrillation.

Two imaging cases highlight the important role of 3D ICE/Cartosound™ in the intracardiac echocardiographic imaging of esophagus and Cartosound™ guidance of radiofrequency lesions delivered safely at the left atrial posterior wall adjacent to esophagus during atrial fibrillation ablation.

Use of intracardiac echocardiography to guide ablation of atrial fibrillation.

Intracardiac Echocardiography Ultrasound technology has progressed rapidly over the past several years, leading to significant miniaturization of transducer design. The original catheter-based transducers, known as intravascular ultrasound (IVUS) catheters, are high frequency (20 to 40 MHz) and are used to image the walls of coronary arteries and other small vessels. They contain a single ultra...

Right atrial thrombus aspiration guided by intracardiac echocardiography during catheter ablation for atrial fibrillation.

A 56-year-old man with psoriasis and a 2-year history of paroxysmal atrial fibrillation and flutter was admitted for catheter ablation. The procedure was performed under general anesthesia. The patient arrived to the electrophysiology laboratory in atrial flutter. A preprocedural transesophageal echocardiogram confirmed the absence of intraatrial thrombus. The patient was chronically anticoagul...
